Job Description
A Mining House based in the Free State is seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman (Shaft Operations)
Duties:
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, and corporate governance requirements
- Supervise and manage artisans and maintenance teams within shaft operations
- Oversee breakdown response, planned maintenance, and equipment availability
- Managing tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure necessary operational efficiency and output required in the incumbent's area of responsibility are achieved
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- N3 Engineering Studies
- Trade Test (Fitter/ Boilermaker)
- Supervisory/ Foreman qualification
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Shaft Foreman / Mechanical Foreman in shaft operations
- Experience in a mechanised underground mining environment is essential
